This didn’t happen to me, but years ago, my husband got back with his ex-wife, she got pregnant, they got re-married and then divorced. He knew it wouldn’t last, but he felt he had to marry her for the child’s sake. That child is now 17, depressed, under a psychiatrist’s care, and taking medication. Not a good move, if you ask me!

In this movie review, I talk about another “Adult movie” that Mae Whitman is in, (but a few years later), called “Hope Floats.” This movie stars Sandra Bullock; Harry Connick, Jr. and Gena Rowlands. Mae Whitman plays Sandra Bullock’s character’s, (Birdie’s) daughter in this movie, (Bernice.) I at first didn’t realized that Mae Whitman was the youngest daughter in “When A Man Loves A Woman,” until I looked it up one day on Wikapedia, (suprise, suprise!!) This movie talks about how Birdee, (Sandra Bullock) goes on a show that is hosted by Kathy Najamy’s character to get a make over and takes Bernice, (Mae Whitman) with Birdee. When the “Real” reason for why Birdee is on the show is revealed, (BIrdee’s husband, Bill is having an affair with Birdee’s best friend Connie), Birdee is humiliated, then takes Bernice back to Smithville, Texas to be with Birdee’s mom (played by Gena Rowlands.) I talk about how Gena Rowlands’ character spends time trying to hook Birdee up with Harry Connick, Jr.’s character to help Birdee get over her soon to be ex-husband, Bill. I also talk about one of the hardest scenes in this movie to watch — the one that happens when Bill comes back, tells Birdie that Bill wants a divorce and Bill leaves to go be with Connie; although Bernice wants to go back home with her dad, (Bill.)
